Teaching Senior Community Members

Once a month I spend an hour in front of a room of neighbors answering real estate questions. The hour belongs to them. We talk about what is actually happening in the market and what it means for someone who already owns a home here.

Every session has its own topic. One month it is appraisals and how they can make or break a transaction. The next it is a change in the industry and what it means for buyers and sellers. I pull from having worked in more than one state and more than one market cycle, though the best part of the hour is usually the questions people bring with them.

I teach it because I like teaching. Eighteen years in this business have given me a lot of answers that people should not have to hire someone to get. Sitting in a room and handing them over, to people who may never call me, is one of my favorite parts of the month.
